Keynote Announced for the ISITC 23rd Annual Vendor Show

Boston – December 7, 2016ISITC (The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication), the industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications, announced today that David Gergen, Senior Political Analyst at CNN, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming 23rd Annual Industry Forum and Vendor Show taking place March 26-29 in Boston.

Gergen’s keynote address will draw on his experience as adviser to four presidents, and his position as professor and co-director of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership, to discuss the potential impact the new administration may have on the financial services industry. He wrote about his service to Presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton in his New York Times best-seller, Eyewitness to Power: The Essence of Leadership, Nixon to Clinton.

“There is perhaps no greater voice on how political change can impact the financial services industry than David Gergen,” said 2016 ISITC Chair Jeffrey Zoller. “David’s service as a White House adviser, his role as a political analyst and his work with aspiring young leaders will provide important insights on what can be expected under the new administration. We are thrilled to have David as our keynote speaker.”

For the last 26 years ISITC has provided members with the means to influence the securities transaction process through collaboration and practical applications for new technologies. This year’s conference theme, “The Politics of Financial Change” will continue this tradition by focusing on how recent political shifts impact emerging challenges and opportunities including fintech, robotics, and cybersecurity, and how firms are responding.

The ISITC 23rd Annual Industry Forum and Vendor Show will take place March 26-29 at the InterContinental Boston Hotel in Massachusetts. Over 300 industry professionals, representing all areas of the financial industry, including broker/dealers, investment managers, custodians and associate constituencies, will be attending. Delegates to the event include C-Suite and senior executives at ISITC’s member firms and have a wide variety of roles in both business and operations.
