ISITC Presents Jamie Shay with Standard of Excellence Award: 40-year veteran of the financial services industry recognized for being strong advocate and contributor to ISITC

BOSTON – ISITC (The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication), the industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications, today announced at its 20th ISITC Annual Industry Forum and Vendor Show that Jamie Shay, former Head of Standards at SWIFT and nearly 40-year securities industry veteran, has been recognized with the ISITC Standard of Excellence Award. The Standard of Excellence Award recognizes individuals who have both made a significant contribution to the industry and rendered exceptional service to ISITC, which is supported through the voluntary services of industry professionals. Mrs. Shay was selected as the recipient of this annual award due to her continued commitment and work for the organization throughout the course of her career. Mrs. Shay has had a major influence on ISITC through her work as a representative of SWIFT, namely as part of the Standards Coordination Group. She is recognized for her tremendous efforts uniting some of the most influential messaging standards organizations such as SWIFT, XBRL-US, ISDA/FpML, FPL, FISD, and ISITC and helping to develop the investment roadmap to the ISO 20022 business model. Her work facilitated a cohesive messaging strategy which is still being used by the Coordination Group today. She also worked very closely with ISITC to create a streamlined set of ground rules and best practices for messages for use across the industry. Mrs. Shay?s work, coupled with ISITC, which she describes as ?an organization with a goal in mind and the ability to work well together,? translated to one of the most significant industry messaging successes to date and laid the groundwork for continued success and improvement for the entire financial services industry. ?We are delighted to recognize Jamie?s ongoing support of ISITC,? comments Jeff Zoller, Chair of ISITC. ?From the beginning, she has been one of our biggest champions, helping to create a seamless foundation for continued collaboration in the industry. Her contribution, not only to our organization but to the financial services industry as a whole, is deeply appreciated. We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with Jamie during her time at SWIFT and are grateful for her hard work and dedication over the past 40 years.? Mrs. Shay was chosen by a committee of select ISITC board members after reviewing several candidates, which was led by Jan E. Snitzer, immediate past chair. The award is given out each year at the ISITC Annual Forum and Vendor Show to an individual who continually supports the organization and the industry as a whole.
