Paul McSherry oversees North American Trade Services at Liquidnet, the global institutional investment network.
With over 20 years of global securities experience, Paul is responsible for managing the delivery of post-trade brokerage services to Liquidnet's network of more than 1,000 institutional investors that collectively manage $33 trillion in equity and fixed income assets. In addition to equities, Paul’s team is responsible for managing trade processing for Liquidnet’s Next Gen Algos, Fixed Income, and Capital Markets businesses. Paul led his award winning team to being ranked #1 in the annual McLagan (Z/YEN) Survey of Operational Performance of Brokers 9 years in a row which rates the overall effectiveness and quality of post-trade brokerage services from an operations perspective.
Paul joined Liquidnet in 2008 after ten years at UBS both in Stamford and London. He held a number of positions at UBS including manager of the Cash Equities Middle Office on the trading floor, and OTC Equities and Rates Derivatives Operations manager. Paul holds a B.A in Sociology and Anthropology from Fairfield University and holds Series 7 and 24 licenses. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Paul played professional soccer in Scotland for Celtic FC and Motherwell FC.
Paul was named to the ISITC Board of Directors in March 2013 and is currently the executive sponsor of the Middle Office Forum.
